SL credits, requirements, etc.

Hi everyone!

I've got a couple of questions:

1. My sister is thinking about taking Nursing through the community college and several of SL's courses fill some of the requirements, but what if the CC doesn't accept ACE credits from SL? Is there a way to use a partner college and transfer the credits?

2. I've always wondered how you guys are able to tell if a certain course/test fulfills the requirements (i.e., say that I need Business in Society for my Accounting degree, how do you determine that the DSST Business Ethics and Society works instead?)?

Unfortunately, if the school doesn't accept ACE credit, you're probably out of luck. Once upon a time you could take Straighterline and then "launder" them through one of the partner schools. That way it would look like you took the course at the partner school and not Straighterline, However, Fort Hays was the last known school to do that:

As for knowing what classes will fulfill your requirements, you should always check directly with your home school. You can get ideas from this forum and see what other people have done. However, things change and things that worked for one person won't always work for other people. So you can get an idea from here but then go back and verify with your school before you take any action.

Yeah, FHSU isn't even listed as a partner college anymore with Straighterline :'(
