If I walked into a grocery store in China and bought a frozen microwavable meal, what would I pay on average?
I can't find this one statistic..the data I find is on the frozen food industry and I need to analyze cost acceptance of the consumer of my product vs a competing one. Big data does not help me.

:coolgleam: When I first read that, I thought you were in Asia! Anyways, hope this helps as your answer depends...
1) Logon to several websites to grocery chains in the states that you're familiar with, ie, Kmart, Costco, Walmart
2) Ramdomly select what you require for your info as a sample of frozen foods, ie microwave dinners or lunches
3) Logon to your fave currency site, mine is XE.com, and convert X USD to Y CNY to see how much it costs.
Practically anything you buy overseas will work this method, you're just using your own market with a different currency.
The weird thing is, most, if not all, are the same in price! Example, cheap car $10g in USA, same cheap car is 65g CNY in
China.

She's not asking for the currency conversion of the price she'd pay in the US. She's asking for the price on the shelve in China.
For example, if she's paying $1 for a can of coke in the US, your method would say a coke is 6.48Â¥ in China. But that's not right, a can of coke in China is more like 3.13Â¥.
Dina, here are some other common items that might be helpful, unfortunately it doesn't have frozen items in particular. But it has things like a can of coke, milk, eggs, vegetables, etc

No that isn't how things work, at all. Currency conversion is not market analysis
I suspect most data will lump frozen meal in with other prepared foods; all as ready meals

Kevin says it is different in different cities, like tier 1, tier vs 2, or tier 3, but if you googled cost of living in Xiamen, Bejing, or Shanghai(?) you could get a basic idea. He said that it is mostly from an expat point of view. Locals might not pay as much.

One side note, he says that there is a Walmart in Xiamen. Maybe there would be a way to check prices through walmart. IDK ?
