Hi Hi!!

The question doesn't make sense.  StraighterLine Managerial Accounting does not consist one on exam = a pass for credit. It is a course, with multiple exams (6 total). The final one being a proctored one.  You can not pass the course by passing the final alone.  It is currently an open book course, with an open book final exam. Many people here have taken it; including some who have passed it recently.  We don't generally see posts from people who have not passed it, although I am sure there are some who don't pass the course for credit.

They specified "final exam," so it sounds like they know there are other exams in the course.

That being said, if you need specific advice, you need to ask a much more specific question, imeckfessel. What exactly do you need advice about?

I'm sorry you're totally right it was not worded correctly.
I have taken all the Exams, I have an 86% going into the final cumulative exam. I meant to ask people who have passed it recently for some advice before going into it.
I am so sorry for the confusing question! Thank you for your response.

That make more sense, your duplicate themed postings confused matters (at least for me).  Based on your current grade and the fact that it is an open book final. I would say your odds of passing are favorable - you only need a total grade of 70 for credit.  I would suggest you go over the questions and answers from the previous exams, they do tend to repeat some on the final.  The book can be used to search out and clarify the answers to new questions that may come up.   I find that the glossary at the back of the textbook is often a great first stop during an open book exam.

Okay! I am glad we cleared that up.Thank you! The response was very helpful. I am just confused on one more aspect of the final exam. On the title of the exam it says "cumulative" but then when you click to the next screen in smaller print it says topics 9-12. Do you have any insight as to whether it is totally cumulative or just the topics 9-12? Sorry, I know it's a specific question I am just nervous!
Thank you!

I meant to say 9-16, not 9-12!

Let me help. I haven't taken this course, but all SL courses work the same way:

You said you have 86% on everything. The syllabus is online as this:
Topic Assessment Points Available
4 Graded Exam #1 (topics 1-4) 125
8 Graded Exam #2 (topics 5-8) 125
8 Midterm Exam (topics 1-8) 200
12 Graded Exam #3 (topics 9-12) 125
16 Graded Exam #4 (topics 13-16) 125
17 Final Graded Exam (topics 1-16) 300
Total 1000

So, you have 86% of 700 points (602)
You need an overall 70% to pass (700 points total)
Your final exam is worth 300 and you need 98. 98 / 300 means you need to score 32.6% on your final in order to pass the course.

Good luck!
