Study.com New CS Courses

Columbia University has one. I saw on linkedin a TESU CS grad got in to their EE masters.

I saw Purdue has a online mastere in EE, also Penn State and University of Colorado boulder, they also have a MOOC MSEE upcoming on edX.

But Columbia Masters in EE is my target!

At the bachelors ASU also has one thats ABET as well, but cant do the 4 year thing. A masters is 'preferred' now anyway!
ASU also has a master's EE

I am thinking about the mooc msee if it ever launches.

@lewis.yim The easiest in order seem to be Management Information Systems (Study.com or Ed4Credit), Database Management and System Analysis and Design (Study.com), then look at CSU Global Cloud Computing and finally do Computer Architecture (Study.com) and thats your 15 UL.
That will be your 15 CR UL.

For LL you can do SDC java then Saylor Comouter Science I (major overlap) or Then Sophia IT course and SL IT course (major overlap). Those are all 100 level.

For 200 level look at Saylor Software Engineering after, C++ from Straighterline and finally Operating Sytems or Discrete Math from Study.com.

You have math in the NSM title so I think to resepct mathematics you can do SL Calc I and II. Or if you are bad at math SDC Precalculus (3), Calculus I (6 credits), Geometry (3) and Discrete math (3). And you have 15 UL in math.

That way if you ever have to show your transcripts the 'math' part is justified. Do your UL in CS/CIS courses and your LL in math.

I didn't include the MIS course because I thought it wasn't UL anymore. Or maybe it is just the DSST; I did the DSST before it was downgraded, luckily. I didn't include CSU-Global since he asked about Study.com, but if you're you're looking outside SDC there are a ton of options there. Smile

@MNomadic Yes I saw it! I dont want to take a loan to pay for these though. If I get to work at Microchip Technology or TI (my dream!!) I can afford these degrees.

I think CS is good when you're young. But EE is a field where you are respected with age. With CS there is a lot of ageism the older you get(unless you are in managment), I'm still under 30 so I dont have that problem (yet). So I rather go that way. I can do web and mobile development etc. but I think embedded is so much more fun!

I want that MOOC to launch, since they are cheaper.

@merlin the SDC one is listed as UL on the transfer page and the Ed4Credit is designated by ACE as UL.

Also look at Saylor MIS its MIS-201, so you can do that for LL in the 200 level as well.

Update: SDC CS-306 Computer Architecture can now be completed; they have added the final 2 quizzes (which may not be accessible through the website, but are through the app).

Additionally, all the new courses with assignments are listed in the assignment submission pull-down.

Finished the Discrete Math, just took the final exam. Cant say it was easy. It covered some advanced stuff and I learned a LOT. It started easy and then halfway through jumped to 100. As per preliminary results, I passed the final! And will pass the course by my calculations.

Very well put together. Working on the Computer Architecture now.

I'm working on it right now and I'm just starting the "hard" phase I think. Not an altogether too difficult course so far even if the rest is as hard as the last couple lessons have been for me, but no cakewalk.

Yeah its no cakewalk. The modules without videos are hardest. But coming to the end it gets good again, I like chapter 11 the most.

Doing the final assignment for Computer Architecture, it's fairly complex!! If I had to do this in VHDL or Verilog it would be easy, but with Logisim it is fairly difficult.

I hope I can finish it in a few hours.
