It's pretty broad. The only DSST tests that count as UL for a BALS are the substance abuse and the history of the soviet union. The cybersecurity one might count, I don't know for sure.

Anything that is equivalent to the courses here or sounds similar in subject matter to the courses here should count, obviously, for UL it has been 300 or 400 level, but this gives you an idea.

What degree are you getting?

If you are getting a BALS, then you need courses that count in the Liberal Studies (this is just a short list, there are more):

HUMANITIES
Literature/Advanced Writing
Religion
Music
Art
Foreign Language
Communications
Dance
Theater
Film
Journalism
Philosophy
Ethics
Photograpy

SOCIAL SCIENCES
History
Political Science
Geography
Psychology
Sociology
Economics
Anthropology

NATURAL SCIENCES/MATH
Biology
Chemistry
Physics
Geology
Environmental Science
Astronomy
Computer Science courses (non-applied)
Any Math courses

NON-LA COURSES (WILL NOT COUNT)
Accounting
Business
Education
Health
Nursing
Paralegal
Fire Science
EMT
Real Estate

I'm liberal studies. So can u take a lower level math class to fulfill the math requirement or electives? I took two semesters of calc. Maths easy for me... U guys must think I'm retsreta for not realizing the areas I can take ul out of lol sorry.  Shy

As a BALS major, you can take math and use it in the AOS, GE Electives, and obviously the Quant Lit requirement.  You should definitely use Calc I & II in the LL AOS (they come in as MAT-231 and MAT-232).  If I were you and needed more credit, I'd totally load up on math.  Use every math class you can find below calc to do.
