Straighterline - General Education's at TESU
#1
Hello All,

I am looking for so quick feedback on Straighterline. I need someone to give me some advice on 2 quick courses that can be passed/almost passed before the final w/ open book finals as a plus. I want to sign up and finish these two courses within the week. I am highly motivated to do it I want to only have the federal income tax tecep in my way of finishing by this time next week. I don't feel like sitting though endless videos at study.com so looking here for options. Please make sure you don't suggest anything I already have just check out the signature.

I am looking at

Introduction to Nutrition (Not sure if this is Gen Ed or it will bump something else but still "work")

and

Western Civ I or II whichever is easier

Any suggestions will be very much appreciated as with hitting 114credits I don't have a ton of stuff to choose from. The College Math CLEP is still an option at this point.

I got a ton of SL credits for general ed. I found Western Civ 1 and 2 to be OK (even interesting) and they're both open book. Nutrition is not. I can't speak about the content for the Nutrition class because I didn't take it. I considered it but didn't have the need for it in my degree plan.

yes thank I do know how to look them up to see if they are open book, I didn't want to go course by course looking. I am actually leaning towards Western Civ I and II or one of those and Nutrition. The reason I am leaning towards Nutrition is because I am trying to be healthier and might actually learn some good stuff from that course.

My suggestion for a course would be Cultural Anthropology or Religion, I ended up with an 89%/95% on that course. It's open book too.

I took nutrition, I would recommend it, but it's a lot of work, there's so many quizzes/exams and the final is not open book. I ended with an 85%.
The easiest science is Environmental Science, 4 exams, midterm, and a final that is open book, by far my best science at 93%.

If you are just looking for a free elective, the easiest is Medical Terminology, same as the Environmental Science, but I had 99%.
This course doesn't go in as a General Education Elective, it's a free elective for any of the degrees at TESU.

My son said Organizational Behavior was the easiest class he took at SL - he said it was mostly common sense and there was tons of overlap with other courses he'd taken. He literally just took the tests and final without doing anything else, so the time he spent on the course amounted to the actual time sitting there taking the tests.
Here Researching for my son, who has done the following:
Community College: Intro to Philosophy, Fundamentals of IT, English Comp 1
Saylor: Intro to Business, Principles of  Marketing, Corporate Communication
Shmoop: US History 2 (WGU won't accept this)
ALEKS: Int. Algebra, College Algebra
Study.com: Personal Finance, Principles of Finance, HR Management, Global Business, Advanced Operations Management
Straighterline: US History 2, Environmental Science, US History, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, English Comp 2, Principles of Management, Business Law, Business Ethics, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Accounting 1,Communication, Managerial Accounting, Statistics
Ed4Credit: Managing Information Systems
Sophia: Project Management
WGU: Bachelors in HR Management

Second son is currently attending Penn Foster for his high school diploma, then on to Ashworth for An Associates in Criminal Justice
