Sorry I searched the forum before posting, but I was reviewing what I still needed to finish and realized I still have not taken Eng II.
I went on TESC to find my options, and found something I had not seen before.
On the following page it mentions needing to take Eng I, then Eng II before Technical Writing.
BSAST Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology | Thomas Edison State College
I have Eng I from BM, and I passed the tech writing DSST last year, but now I need Eng II.
This will also be a problem for my electronics, because I took solid state devices back in 2004, and I am about to take physics.
So that too is out of sequence..
What is the penalty for not following the sequence? what will TESC do?
I intend to call sometime soon, but figured I would ask.
Thanks!

You're fine. TESC does not enforce sequencing of any kind. You can take calculus today and intro algebra tomorrow

TESC doesn't have specific sequencing requirements for mathematics or most other things. The BSAST is a different case. Maybe they only enforce it when you're taking courses at TESC. Let's hope so. If Technical Writing is already on your evaluation, then they will probably overlook it.

I hope you guys are right, its not on my initial eval. So when I re-submit and and enroll for the final year I do hope they over look it.

There is a section that addresses this in the catalog. I don't have the inclination to look it up for you, but it's there. I'll put a fire under you too, because I seem to remember something in there about if you complete a "2" that you can ask for credit for the "1" (eg. you have credit for French II, but not French I - how/why? no matter....) you can get French I for free. You'll have to dig, but I'm 99% sure it's in there.

They leave responsibility of completing prerequisites up to the student. For instance, I completed one of the three prereqs for the Strategic Management course but had not yet sent the transcript (as far as TESC could tell, I only had two of the three completed). I was enrolled in the course and completed it without an issue. No questions were asked.
