I think this is a point of confusion that gets talked about here all the time but not understood. You're classes never "go away" despite laundering them into a new degree. If, for instance, you apply to grad school, all of your courses will be calculated by the school you are applying to. There is an assumption that by taking "1 class at TESC I'll earn an A and graduate with a 4.0" but that's not really what's happening. Yes, TESC will write "4.0" on your transcript, but you only "have" a 4.0 if you have taken NO OTHER COURSES or your transfer courses really are all "A" grades.I realize this is an old thread, however I am curious if you, or anyone else, successfully had courses removed from a TESC transcript. I requested that two- twenty year old classes, not needed for my degree be removed from my transcript. I was told, by Patricia Certo, in advising that they could be excluded from my degree-plan but not my transcript. One of these classes was actually taken over, albeit at a different institution, for an A.
Removal of grades- simply ask your advisor before graduating. You'll need to have an excess though, otherwise they won't do it. For instance, if you have 140 credits, the extra 20 will be "unused" and you can tweak that. They'll be listed on your transcript unless you request otherwise.
An easier suggestion, simply don't transfer those grades in. If you have attended courses at a few schools, and the school with the poor grades isn't really adding anything to your academic record, just don't send them in. So what if you lose a few classes that were "passing" - you said you had excess, so that likely won't matter. But, know this - they still exist. If you are ever filling out an application asking for all transcripts for all courses, etc, then you'll need to include them.
