FREE FEMA Courses and cheap college credits
#11
I'm sure you have to do some reading and take a test....but a credit per day is outstanding!

Still, I can't figure out the process to enroll in a FEMA course.

Anyone?

I'm working on accumulating college credits that I will eventually send to TESC (that's the current plan anyway). CLEP will hold the scores I make with those tests, and DSSTs work the same way... if I understand everything correctly. What about FEMAs? Same there? Can I take the free tests and not have the scores sent anywhere right away, or would these be tests I'd need to do right at the end?

Just wondering.

Thanks!

Laura,

You can do the same thing with FEMA that you are doing with CLEP and DSST tests. You can take them now and send them in later. You can only send them to TESC when you have an eval done or you reg to enroll. They will not just transcribe them for you.

There is no real process, per se - just find the class, and when you are ready to take the final exam, click "take final exam" or whatever it says, and then fill out all the boxes. They will ask you for name, address, phone, ss number, and so on - not very long at all. That's it. You'll get an email shortly if you passed.

Hey---I've tried taking the first test twice; the "Emergency Manager: An Orientation To This Position", and both times I've submitted my answers I get a funny error page telling me I'm trying to access the site on a link that's been changed. It tells me to clear my cookies and try again--and I've done this on both Firefox and Google Chrome and it keeps telling me to go to the website, redo the test, and submit--but after three times of doing this---same page and no confirmation it's been submitted.

Anyone else have this problem?

That is weird. I have gotten that message before but clearing my cookies and restarting my browser has fixed it. You usually get that message if you attempt the exam and either fail it or have the page time out before you're finished. I hope it's working for you now!
