Nope, it has to follow through with the requirements as I mentioned... You can only re-use an overlap of 9 credits from your other major (9 UL Spanish), thus you need at least 9 UL in NSM (CS, CIS, any math/science you want to take from alternative credit options or through TECEPs), the rest can be all lower level arts/sciences. So, if you copy/paste the requirements it'll show as this:
Foreign Language: 45
Required: 21
Electives: 9
Humanities: 12
Capstone: 3
LS-NSM: 45
Concentration Required: 18
Electives: 24
Capstone: 3
The easiest way to think of this is, the LS-NSM electives can be anything arts/sciences that you have in the free electives area of the previous major or in the 'other courses' below the degree... You're just going to get a little creative in getting the requirements by making sure to take more alternative arts/sciences from ACE/NCCRS providers.
Before they updated the catalog for making changes to Gen Ed 45, Major 45, Electives 30, previously some degrees were Gen Ed 60, Major 30, Electives 30, thus when you swap the second major with the free electives of the first major, you can get a double major with exactly 120 credits! It'll look like this, Gen Ed 60, Major 1 30, Major 2 30.
