TESU 2020 Catalog
#1
Does anyone know what the changes are between the TESU catalogs for 2019 and 2020? If any??

For 2019a and 2020, it's the same catalog, there are no differences for the degrees.
Some of the current certificates (undergrad and graduate) have different course requirements.
But the undergrad/graduate degrees have been largely untouched.

For 2018 and 2019 (without the a), the option to use the TES-100 instead of the current Cornerstone SOS-110.
Other than that one major change, the requirements for the undergrad degrees hasn't changed at all.
If you're on this catalog year, and applied to add a certificate, you may want to check the requirements

THANK YOU!! Im in the 2019 catalog year still till May. Im FINALLY almost done 5 classes left, Im planning to take two UL DSST tests and the online death investigation class all by april.  Then the last two are tesu sos110 and capstone. I just wanted to check since my advisor hasnt answered the question abot changes. Im not sure Ill have my graduation fee $$ saved up by the time Im done :/ so I dont know if I should wait on registering for my last two classes this spring or wait till later in this year or not. Im planning to use financial aid for my last two classes but cant use it for the fees apparently.

You stay in your catalog as long as you continue to stay enrolled.  So, if you have until May, you should register for the cheap TECEP exam if you want to stay enrolled.

Once you become un-enrolled (dis-enrolled?), then you're kind of at their mercy in terms of changes they may make.  I personally would do whatever it took to stay enrolled.

I believe grad fees are due once you apply.  I'm finishing up the capstone this month and am applying for graduation in a few weeks so I'll try to remember to update this thread towards the end of the month.  Are you talking about the graduation fees or the residency requirement?

Here's what it says on their page about graduation fees:

  • After applying for graduation, you’ll be prompted to pay the graduation fee. The current graduation fee is $298. The graduation fee is non-refundable. The application will not be submitted until the fee is paid!

Oops residency requirement. It's like 2800 or 3grand around there

I'm pretty sure (but not positive) you have to pay the residency fee up front.  I paid mine up front but I was at the end and only needed to take sos-110 and capstone.  If you're taking some TECEPS or anything like that then it may be different.

I'm sure someone else can chime in and will know the answer.

Basically, I am frugal and don't have tuition assistance/reimbursement, I tell people generally to pay for their courses first and complete them. Once the course is done or near completion, pay for your graduation fee.

You will then need to pay the residency waiver last (without the grad fee/residency fee paid, you can't graduate - oh yeah). That's the logical steps to get the application for graduation completed in chronological order.
