TESU BSBA - looking for easiest options - Please Help
#11
KayV Wrote:It looks like you could take Study.com's Business 309: Digital Marketing & Advertising (which TESU transcribes as MAR-441: Marketing With Digital & Social Media) for your third area. You have twelve hours of Accounting beyond the core requirements and OPM-301 Operations Management for Management, so you just need one more course in Finance or Marketing to get all three areas.

With the 2015 and prior catalog, you don't have to take courses in 3 of the 4 areas. It's completely different, as there are fewer requirements (Micro & Macroecon are up in Gen Ed, you don't need a Managerial Comm course, and those spots are now open to 3 Business Electives).

Well I think I missed that my own plan was based on the 2015 catalog - any good threads about the changes (or BSBA Plans) I don't want to threadjack but it could be helpful for anyone else reading this one Smile

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's the deal.

In any case, for anyone who's on a prior catalog, they already have an eval and can see what is required to finish their degree. So it shouldn't be a huge issue if I'm wrong on that.

@dfrecore PHI-384 has a free option that is for 2 credits from The Institutes?(There are two options, one is free and one is 5.00 fee or should I select both and then add to cart). Thanks.

@KayV I think, my evaluation was done from an old 2014-2015 Catalog. Thanks.

To all -
How long does 'Study.com' and 'The Institutes' classes takes? what are the process?
What are the exam process? How does ACE work?

Choose the free option, the other one is a CEU course, and won't count for college credit on ACE. I did not take the whole course, I just took the exam and passed. If you take the course, it should probably take a few hours. But it's not necessary.

ACE works by signing up for a free account, then pulling over ACE-approved courses as you take them, and adding the transcript to the ACE account. Then when you've finished with ACE courses, you send an ACE transcript to TESU (just like a college transcript). They usually get it within 24 hours.

Select the FREE option. You do not need to do the $5 option. That is for "Continuing Education credit," which is different than college credit. The free version is ACE approved for college credit.

EDIT: oops, dfrecore beat me to it. Sorry for doubling up.

Just to add, do the course first. You can't setup an ACE account until you have a class to start it with.

Well, my first option here to take 'The Instittues' and then creating the ACE account. . It seems Study.com is the best option here after taking the free ethic course. Do I need to buy books? Or just watch videos. What is the best way to prepare for the exams for study.com exams?

Do I need to discuss with the TESU advisers about these classes prior to taking them on Study.com
Thanks.

No books needed. The videos fully prepare you for the final exam. They are already approved by TESU, you don't need pre-approval to take them. you can see how they transfer in here:
