TESU EPACK COURSES
#1
I was thinking of taking an Epack upper level psychology course. I can normally get through a Study.com course in 2 to 3 weeks and was wondering how long an Epack course might take because I could avoid the papers. If you have any experience I’d really appreciate your thoughts on this idea.

I'm wondering why you'd pay $1100 for a course? Especially considering there is almost nothing there that can't be gotten a lot less expensively? Just curious.

My employer would pay for it. My residency waiver expires in June. I need the 18 upper level credits and I’d like to knock them out quickly to focus on the capstone.

Well, if it's paid for, then you should certainly take advantage of it.

Any idea how long it would take compared to an upper level course through Study.com?

Not a clue. I haven't taken an ePack, nor have I taken any UL Study.com courses.

You could go back into the archives and see if anyone did this for psych. I honestly have never heard of anyone in recent years doing an epack since the alternatives have become available (specifically companies like studycom) but if you're going to find anything, it will come from years back when people still paid for TESU courses. I'll look too. My UL Psychology courses from TESU were not through epack, I did them using the online format.

Sorry, this is all I can find - from 2009 and 2013 with no replies. I think you'd be the first!

It all depends on how fast you absorb the material. It's a 12 week course but you can schedule the proctored exam before the end of the 12 weeks. You take practice quizzes to give you an idea of how well you're retaining the info. The only thing that counts as far as pass/fail is the final exam though. I took the Abnormal Psychology Epack a number of years ago and passed it, don't remember how long it took me before I felt ready to schedule the exam though.
