Taking the DSST Intro to Computing test tomorrow
#1
Hello everyone!

Just a few days ago I learned about CLEP and the DSST when my college tried to stick me in an intro to comuting course. I refused... They told me to take the DSST..

I registered for tomorrow at 1:30.. What am I in for/what should I do to study?

I am certified by Microsoft in the full office suite, know basic programming, and am the general "go to" guy for IT-related issues among friends and family. Is this enough to pass?

Thank You!

You should be just fine if you're very computer literate. I took it and passed with a 437 without spending a second studying - I didn't even know I was going to take it, but decided to give it a shot since I was already in the testing center and had some time left.

I would never recommend taking a test cold but at least make sure you check the outline and are comfortable with that. I am sure you will breeze through this though, If I had your experience I would spend 5 min to check the test outline and then test. If you fail just send me the bill.Big Grin
