Teacher Prep Program - online

I am also looking for a fast distance and not too $$ Teacher Prep Program. It has to be an official Teacher Prep Program and not just a list of education courses. Rio Salado has a good one and cheap but first you have to take 5 classes and after those classes are completed then you are officially in the Teacher Prep Program. I need to get into the TPP right away for a licensing requirement.

I am sure there are some out there that I just do not know about --any suggestions are welcomed! Thanks

Hi! Do you have a degree? The way I went I went to Ashford and am getting my degree in Social Science with a concentration in education. Then the state where I live in takes alternative certification. In other words, I give them my degree, take two tests and I will have my certification. A lot of states are doing this right now. You might check into it. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. I have all the info on abcte.org and have talked with them a few times. I have a good angle on that but still wanted to get my license through another state than they have listed. I just need to show that state that I am enrolled (not completed just enrolled) in a Teacher Prep Program. I even tried to see if the abcte.org program would count as a Teacher Prep Program and the state said no.

I will have my BA in a matter of two tests so Ashford is not an option. They roll their teacher prep over to Rio Salado and RS only counts you as being "in" their program once you have completed 5 of their courses.

Anyone else have any suggestions on a Teacher Prep Program online?
