Urgent - Confirming whether TESU is ending study.com courses after April 15
#1
I saw on the forum that TESU will be ending study.com courses on April 15.

Does this apply to the same courses from December:
Math 108: Discrete Mathematics
Computer Science 105: Introduction to Operating Systems
Computer Science 111: Programming in C
Computer Science 112: Programming in C++
Computer Science 115: Programming in Java
Computer Science 305: Operating Systems
Computer Science 306: Computer Architecture

What about other study.com courses such as data structures and system design.

I was planning to take some of these computer science courses.

Any updates on this? Thanks.

Anyone here work at TESU? I guess not, so as per those previous posts we'll just have to find out by April 15. If you or anyone has emailed TESU to get more details, please update this thread. It's all speculation at the moment, no one has concrete answers. Unless there has been any update, it's the same info on the entire page 27 of this thread: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...ed?page=27

My Advisor told me it applies to Computer Science 306: Computer Architecture.

We also heard this same exact thing back at the end of 2021, that courses would not be accepted after 12/31, but that turned out to be wrong and advisors were mistaken. It's a toss up at this point if it actually happens, but the trend does in fact appear to be TESU not accepting SDC CS courses, based on them having stopped accepting other CS courses already.

Here is the reply that I got from my advisor when I asked if Comp Arch would be accepted if ACE renewed its recommendation approval after its recent expiration (it has since this reply already been renewed by ACE):

Quote:Good afternoon,

Well, there could always be a change in the future but TESU unfortunately has been phasing out accepting Study.com Computer Science courses. So the 4/15/22 deadline will be in effect even in there is an ACE date beyond that. Keep in mind that Study.com courses are sent to TESU via Study.com transcript not via ACE transcript. So if you want to complete the Computer Architecture course you'll want to do so ASAP (assuming you can complete it in two weeks).

As i understand all CS courses which usually apply towards BA CS were accepted and none were rejected.
What you are talking about are maybe courses for IT and cybersecurity degrees. But CS were accepted and most probably will be accepted.
You just stress yourselves

They were accepted in the PAST. This is about them possibly not being accepted after 4/15. Advisors are specifically stating that SDC CompSci courses are being phased out.

Are all the computer science courses being phased out? Or some of the courses.

Literally all the information we have at this point, unless anyone else has heard more from their advisor, is what I quoted above. No specific list of courses was given, just Comp Arch was being discussed and a general reference to "Computer Science" courses from SDC. Best option at this point is for you to ask your advisors, as well as SDC support. Last time this threat occurred, SDC was able to fix/clarify it. But we haven't heard from them this time around.
