  • WGU (2 terms): about $10,300
  • ACE with 9 Teaching Channel credits + discount: $8,281
  • That’s a savings of over $2,000.

Does the $8281 include the money spent on Teaching Channel?

When I calculate this approach, I am getting the overall total cost as $8,470 (without other discounts). $7,375 (25 credits at ACE) + $1,095 (9 credit bundle at Teaching Channel). The total program cost, as advertised by ACE, is $9,976. So, a savings of $1,506 over 34 ACE credits, and a savings of $1,830 over two terms at WGU.

We found out discounts can not be stacked at Teaching Channel, so here's the updated cost breakdown for ACE:

Teaching Channel 3-course Cost with New Student Discount: ($489-$100) * 3 courses = $1,167
ACE Degree Cost: $235/credit * 25 credits =$5,875.00
Technology and Library Fee: $54/credit * 25 credits =$1,350.00
Application Fee: $50
Conferral Fee: $100

So:
$1167 + $5875 + $1350 + $50 +$100 =$8,542

Full cost of ACE program without transfer credits: $9,976

Savings: $1,434

Comparing this to the WGU program and assuming it takes (2) 6 month terms to complete at WGU, the cost is $10,300. Therefore, ACE is $1,758 less.
