What is the best first CLEP exam to take in 2025 for someone new to credit-by-exam?

But I remember when it was my time, and Analyzing and Interpreting Literature was worth 6 credits and was basically a glorified literacy test, such that people would suggest newbies take it cold as a confidence booster.

I wish I was on this forum and the sister forum ages ago when I started college... I could've saved a lot of time and a lot of money. I've never tried a CLEP before, but simply out of curiosity, I might want to try one for the experience.

Since it's just one exam, but you get twice the credits, even if it's for general education or electives, you can then focus on the major when you get there...

BJ, I see you completed your BABA and MAOL at UMPI... Congratulations! How was your experience with it? I remember you had a thread based on progress, but I just noticed your signature now. Will you give the MSB a go in the future?

I took College Composition and College Mathematics, both of which I was able to use toward degrees. This is a pretty good intro:

I passed all the Modern States quizzes to get the voucher, and I thought that was enough to pass both CLEPs I took, although the course material seems pretty good, too.

origamishuttle and I might have some slight turbo 'tism. I totally forgot just how many degrees you have too. Quick! Where's that article about autism/ADHD and higher education lol

Sociology was very easy. I used Modern States and free-clep-prep. I do not think free-clep-prep adequately prepares students, but I suppose it's better than no practice test. I know that the Official CLEP Study Guide features practice questions and exams.
~96 semester credits obtained from community college (majored in accounting)
CLEPs taken: Introductory Psychology and Introductory Sociology
11cr from Sophia (so far)
Pursuing my Bachelors at UMPI or TESU (waiting on transfer assessment)
