I just realized I am scheduled to start a college class for Information Systems and Computer Applications in 5 weeks. If I called the college to schedule my test, how long of a wait time is there before they would let me take my CLEP, generally speaking? This is my first CLEP and I don't even have any study materials yet. I just found my schedule today and read it.
Thanks so much.

The college doesn't care how long you have studied. Each Testing center has it's own rules as to how long they need for scheduling. Here on NJ One place needs about a week and another one would let me take a test tomorrow. Have you found a testing site near you? Are you in SC?

Hey! I just sent you an email. Yes, I'm in SC. Ok, so if I got some material in a week and studied for a week, I would probably still be good to go. Yes, I have found a testing center close by me, also.

Depending on your testing center, generally most Colleges and testing centers it's 2 to 3 days. I'm assuming you're asking the time period to schedule an exam, and for your College to receive your test score results from CLEP usually takes 10 - 20 days.

Oh, yikes! I better get on it. I was going to call my Academic Counselor tomorrow and ask her how long before they received my scores. Thanks for the heads up.

The way I use them is just to not even try to answer the first time just read the questions, answers and explanations. Then I try to just answer in my head the second time to see if I retained the info.

I don't really know. I thought I would see what it was like. They had a 30 day free trial, so I thought I had nothing to lose. I'll try what you said.
Thanks!
