Which job would you select?

Coming from someone who has a territory and visits different locations on a daily basis it makes the days go much faster than being stuck at one place all day long.

I'm the kind of person that would rather sit behind a computer all day; my husband would shoot himself if he had to do that (my mom and dad were exactly the same, as were my MIL and FIL); that being said, it just depends on what interests you more. My husband travels (pre-Covid) for work, he absolutely loves it, the change, the not knowing the next thing, the different places, all really excited him. I can see the appeal for some people.

So, if you can't see yourself sitting behind a computer all day, and want to do field visits, and this travel doesn't seem too onerous to me, you might like the change of the field job.

Another thing to keep in mind is that if you don't like it, you can always get another job at some point. No job change is ever really permanent if you don't want it to be. But if you haven't had a job like that, now's a great time to give it a shot.

Thanks. Accepting either one of these jobs won't prevent me from accepting a future opportunity with the federal government. I might as well gain new experiences until I can land the job I really want.
