Whinig - Examples of Contrariness
#1
Do you have a Wegman's in your town? It's a lovely supermarket, and I have taken to trying to study there. They have eating areas & WiFi. I go to this one area away from the main eating area to eat (great donuts) & study (read/go on Internet). It's nice & quite until folks come in seeking quiet. Except that they don't really want quiet, they want to be able to make noise (talk) with no interference from others making noise. Sigh. I've glared a couple of groups away, but large foreign-born group has come. I'll need to become a multi-lingual/cultural glarer! Aren't we funny? We want to get back to nature - but in RVs nicer than a house. We want to travel & see the world, but there had better be a McDonalds. I'm sure that there are loads of other examples of our contrariness. (Oh, I've taken to Wegmans 'cause it's usually quieter than my local libraries!) :toetap:

Do you have Panera's near you? When I am out of town I find them good places for free internet. They are only noisy at lunch, dinner time and they usually have a back quieter area. I know what you mean about the library I took an exam there once and I wanted to yell at people "Don't you know you are supposed to be quiet in a library":roflol: I guess I am just old fashion.

Panera's is closer, but the hours (and donuts!) are better at Wegmans. I may just have to suck it up (my gut from Wegman's donuts!) and go to Panera.

Also, my title line misspelling is making me CRAZY. How/can I edit it? Thanks.

Lol I didn't even notice until you said it... Big Grin
There usually is an edit button right under the posts you make but after a few days the option goes away I think...
