I am enrolled in WHTU's MPA program. I am 60% finished, with a significant chunk of those credits being awarded for a prior-learning portfolio documenting my public administration experience.
My experience at WHTU has been positive. The professors are competent and the administraiton is responsive. With the portfolio credits, WHTU ended up the cheapest option I could find in the U.S.
I am not in a hurry to finish, so I have not taken classes for the past two semesters. My goal is to qualify to teach political science as a community-college adjunct. I will eventually get around the taking the last four classes.

A non-RA degree can be problematic if your goal is to teach at more traditional RA universities or if your employer requires a degree from an RA school. However, for public administration and government positions, this is usually less of a concern, especially with your existing degrees.

Thanks for the informative reply! I somehow did not catch the portfolio thing? What is involved? How many pages of matter do you turn in per course? Documentation requirements?
