my testing plan.

Okay.
I will be finished with my long term care administration class this weekend. Yea!

So here is my plan for my BSBA in hospital/health care from TESC:
Step 1 complete my free Macroeconomics from Sophia
Step 2 Complete free statistics class and get credit for it through Aleks
Step 3 Algebra through Aleks
Step 4 Pay Tesc enrollment fee and take microeconomics
Then I plan to take the following Teceps
Principles of finance
principles of financial accounting
sales management
advertising
public relations
strategic management
operations management
principles of managerial accounting
business in society
marketing com
Penn Foster:
marketing research
consumer behavior
Clep:
business law
principles pf management
Dsst:
intro to business
principles of supervision
management info systems
organizational behavior
human resource
These are the classes I need. According to my transcript eval I need 75 credits, but this eval doesn't show my class that ends this weekend. Not sure how much credit I will receive for it but it is a 15 sh program from a r/a cc, plus an internship that starts in May which is an additional 12 sh. I will send my transcripts in when my final grade posts, probably first week in May.
I am excited to finally be starting on this. I have older edition text books ordered for Teceps and am going to start putting together study guide- test plans when they come in. My goal is to be finished and graduate by Dec.

Is there a reason you're taking so many TECEPs instead of CLEP/DSST/SL/etc?

I would not be afraid of them, but some of the ones you listed have alternatives. Specifically Business in Society (Business ethics), Strategic Management (Penn foster), Principles of Finance (Penn Foster)

I am not familiar with the healthcare specialization, but I'm not sure how these classes fit in there? This looks more like a BSBA Marketing. Is this, BSBA in Hospital Healthcare Administration Degree Program , the degree you want?

Yep, That is the degree plan I want. I must have got twisted around somehow. I know I need at least 8 Teceps and I thought they might be easier to knock out then cleps and dsst because you can take them at home. Also I was trying to meet the UL requirements. Thanks for your input. Back to the drawing board.:o

Testing at home was a huge benefit for me, that was my primary reason for using straighterline. I would suggest looking at their offerings. If you have time to dedicate and can complete the work quickly, it can work out cheaper than using TECEPS/CLEP/DSST.

Penn Foster's Strategic Business and Financial Management do not require a proctor. The first requires a paper and sitting through 3 webinars but it's pretty simple. It is a little more expensive than the TECEPs, but it was worth it for me.

Thanks. I will definitely look at those options. It is better to reevaluate now, rather than putting my effort into the wrong areas.

What I found helpful (if you haven't done so already) was to gather the data I needed from the forum and set myself up a good spreadsheet. I would plug in all my planned credits and enter the possible credit sources. It basically worked like TESCs/COSC/Excelsiors academic evals. It keeps all the courses in a good visual format and I used the sum function so I could see my bottom line credits add up (which was a big motivator for me).

I think upton sinclair used to have some good spreadsheets posted. I had my own personal one, but nothing fancy. You could probably do something up better.
CLEPS Passed: 10 DSST Passed: 11 TECEPS: 1

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.
