which partner colleges accept SL credit and give a grade for it? I did Econ 1 & 2 and sent the credit to FHSU, but what about Biology and Chemistry? it's my understanding that FHSU will not take this two courses in.

Click on the link below to see Straighterline's college credit matrix that lists the name of the partner college and the manner in which they issue the credit. For more information, click on the individual course tabs to see how credit will be issued when transferred into the partner college.
Fort Hays will only accept and transcribe five of the Straighterline courses as their own: College Algebra, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Accounting I, and Accounting II. Other schools, such as Jefferson Community and Technical College, will issue letter grades for all Straighterline courses, but the transcript makes it too obvious that Straighterline was the source of the credit. My Accounting I and II are both pre-requisites for my MBA and I got them through SL. I already asked Regis (MBA program) whether they accept CLEP/DSST credit, but they hadn't heard of SL. So, I am really hoping that it won't be an issue when I go to apply.... Does anyone know if this is an issue or has anyone had an issue with SL credits appearing on their transcript?

It would have been cheaper to use ACE but I wanted a grade and the courses (because they are prereqs for grad school) attached to a 4yr college. On my TESC transcript the courses are listed as FHSU courses not SL. *This is what Cook refers to as credit laundering, LOL, even though all four courses were quite rigorous (when I took them) to say the least. I'm going to check with my advisor tomorrow to see if it's too late to "launder" them. They're on the transcript already, but perhaps I can replace?

If your accounting and economics courses end up on a Fort Hays transcript, no other school will ever question the nontraditional source of the college credits because it looks as if you took the classes directly at the University. When Straighterline courses end up on a Fort Hays transcript, the fact that Straighterline is the credit source is virtualy hidden.

You may be accepted because you will have a BSBA from an RA school. Verify that, though.

It may be too late to transfer credit from FHSU though anyhow... I read on a COSC graduation email that any transferred classes need to be sent to COSC at least 4 months before graduation. I don't know if this would count as a transferred class, but who knows? I also don't know how strict they are with the four month rule. I may just go ahead and apply for the MBA and see what they say. I really wish I had thought things through a little more. I know that the MBA program I want to attend (see signature) is brand new and last I spoke to them, they weren't sure if they could get enough people for a class to start in the fall. I'm sure this doesn't mean that their standards are relaxed, but hopefully it means that they won't be nit-picky.
