I would love to. I haven't done it yet really. I want to pressure wash my driveway and it takes 6 hours. Might as well learn something while doing it. I'd like to get the REA books on tape actually. I am considering one day taking every CLEP just for bragging rights

I especially listen to non fiction on audio. It's easy for me to get lost in the pages of a story, but with non-fiction I struggle to sit still. Therefore I like to listen on my ipod while I am exercising/walking/driving (with one earbud in)
I do most of my studying for tests using podcasts, iTunesU, and audiobooks

I do often, for study and personal interest. I guess I generate my own audiobooks, for personal use, having my computer speak text into audio files with the text-to-speech function built in to Mac OS X. (Here's a short guide to the DIY way to do it. iSpeak It is a $20-download program that adds some user-friendly features.)

I also fill my commute time in the car with audio books. The only thing is that I'm super picky about the voices that read the books. I've stopped listening and switched to reading a few times if the voice was too high, low, flat, squeeky, etc. I'm an odd duck though, so don't mind me. Good luck with your book!

I do, as well. I put lectures, audiobooks, etc, on my iPod and old mp3 player. I use a cassette converter to plug in to my cassette player on my car; plug the external cable in to my ipod or mp3. I also plug in my ear pieces when I'm exercising. Smartphone can store/play audio and video files, too. With those new super small plug-n-play speakers, you can hook up your mp3, iPod, smartphone, etc and hear your files without the ear pieces.
Don't limit your formats. That only limits your income.

I am in the car 2 hours a day. I have actually found podcasts perfect for learning. There is a broad spectrum of podcasts for entertaining to very educational. I find that most are around a hour which is perfect for the one way commute.

I have and have listened to a number of audiobooks on cassette. What I almost always do though is listen to the dozens of Great Courses I have from the Teaching Company. I have all of mine on cassette and now have to look for them to buy used. I have 2 1/2 hours in the car/truck every day I go to work.
