I've been in accounting for several years and have gone up the ranks to that of a Chief Financial Officer. Accounting is not about doing calculations, it's more about process, controls, and analysis. A simple way to put it, accountants ensure the integrity of the balance sheet and income statement by the application of knowledge towards the financial activities of the organization. |
