RE: Over 250 quarter units and NO DEGREE - dfrecore - 01-26-2018 Just an FYI, they are terrible about responding to more than 1 thing. So if you have 5 courses to ask about, send 5 different emails. Not even kidding here, you have to keep it very simple - and even then they don't always answer the question, or do things that you didn't ask for: "I know XYZ course won't fit in my BSBA, where would it fit if I was to switch to a Psych major?" Next thing you know, you've been switched to a Psych major! Be deliberate and careful in your wording. RE: Over 250 quarter units and NO DEGREE - fingerscrossedx2 - 01-26-2018 Charter Oak is requiring my high school advanced placement scores from over 20 years ago before evaluating my transcripts!! Just ignore it, and continue to work on your plan here until you get it right. I really made some stupid assumptions... lesson learned. I will just push forward. I am wondering what COSC will come back with. It is supposedly going to take up a month to receive my AP Scores since they are older than 4 years old and have been archived at this point. I am going to search for a plan that outlines the fees for them and see how they compare with TESU. Right now I am estimating the TESU route will end up costing me a little under $4k. What exams did you take? RE: Over 250 quarter units and NO DEGREE - fingerscrossedx2 - 01-28-2018 I took English and Math... I scored a 3 and a 4. RE: Over 250 quarter units and NO DEGREE - fingerscrossedx2 - 02-09-2018 So, I'm still waiting on an eval from Charter Oak!! I'm concerned that waiting for them and not pushing forward with TESU is costing me precious time. I have completed a few online courses while I wait including ethics and communications. I am requesting a review of a course for the comparative lit portion outstanding and that would leave the capstone and a writing course. Does anyone have any experience with Charter Oak actually coming back with a more favorable evaluation? I wonder if I should simply give up on them. I received the study.com scholarship and plan to take the finance final today. After that, hopefully I can focus on only the classes needed to finish off the degree! I'm getting anxious. RE: Over 250 quarter units and NO DEGREE - fingerscrossedx2 - 02-13-2018 I completed the Institute's ethics course and sent it over to TESU. Looks like they marked it as an upper division course and not for the ethics requirement. Anyone else have this issue? RE: Over 250 quarter units and NO DEGREE - jsd - 02-13-2018 Ask them to move it. RE: Over 250 quarter units and NO DEGREE - Ideas - 02-13-2018 What communications course did you do? Eng Comp II is not hard. I did it as a TECEP with 15 minutes of prep. But some people would rather do a course than take an exam. I think you still need American Government? I don't recommend the Davar exam for that one. |
