This is great news! It was just last week that I was worrying about doing the BACS at TESU because of the extra costs and now this! WOW, I almost register for intro to programming but I decided to wait until September....
Thanks for the good news!!

C is MUCH easier than java for an intro to programming course (C is so straight forward, but java has so much crap in it), but java is easier than C for a data structures course  (so much stuff is built into the language and no memory management)

both the intro to programming and data structures course use java

It would have been great if they both use python instead
but the AP Computer Science exam uses java so I guess that's why they went with it

i was looking specifically at the python course... mostly because i probably will need python for work at some point, whereas i can't imagine using C

I was checking earlier today and none of the new courses I looked for show as available for credit yet on SDC. Since they just received their ACE recommendation today, it may take a bit for them to be available on the site.

Although you should be able to just start the lessons/quizzes now: https://study.com/academy/course/computer-science-109-introduction-to-programming.html#overview

Haha, that's right!  It does too!
Is Discrete Math available as alternative credit?

RE: New Study.com courses (5/16/19) - armstrongsubero - 05-16-2019

@davewill yes it is. I did it on SDC.

Just signed up for intro to programming! Next data structures then I'm done!

Yup, it's on Study.com - I just have a couple more courses from Study.com I need and then I am all good to go!

Exams for Data Structures and intro to programming are enabled! I'll tell you all how it goes!

Hot damn! Yes! I was looking at it earlier in the day and it was NOT for credit and there were no FINAL exams!
Hahaha, most of all the Comp Sci courses, I have half or more of them completed...
