I'm new to the forum and cannot get over how much information and how helpful everyone is. Absolutely fantastic community (that I plan to become part of as soon as I know stuff).
I was exploring options for programs and with the help of this forum I believe I have decided on pursuing my BSBA-CIS from TESU. A suggestion from the previous thread was that I start a thread here looking for assistance in creating my degree plan. Thank you in advance for your help.

Ok - this will be a long thread but walk through it with me.
You hold a PMP and that is a valuable credential for college credit. Here's why. From TESU's website:
"The University is a founding member of the Consortium for the Assessment of College Equivalency (CACE) along with Charter Oak State College, the Community College of Vermont, Granite State College, and SUNY Empire State College. CACE’s mission is to facilitate degree completion of adult learners by developing new pathways of cooperation among adult-centered colleges and universities regarding reviews of college-equivalent learning from organized, structured learning experiences not sponsored by an accredited college or university, including the promotion of rigorous common standards. Through CACE, the University may be able to accept credit recommendations or awards that result from another CACE institution’s review of a training program or professional credential without the requirement of a transcript from the reviewing institution, provided that the review is current or contemporary to the learning and that the University’s curriculum aligns with the credits recommended in the report. SO, TESU is a member of CACE. Charter Oak is also a member of CACE. Guess what? They reviewed the PMP credential for academic credit:

SO, email PLR that you hold the PMP certification and want it considered for credit based on Charter Oak's CACE review granting 9 hours. They will take some time BUT you should get an email that for credit, you send a notarized copy of your certificate with a cover letter they will send to you.
When I inquired on the CAPM from PMI and a CFE credential (both reviewed by Charter Oak), this is the end result from TESU:
"Dear Brian Fallon,
Thank you again for your patience as we worked with a variety of offices to fulfill your request. As part of the CACE consortium program, we will now grant credit for the following certification programs which have been reviewed by Charter Oak State College. Below are the equivalencies, effective dates, and Source of Official Student Records for your reference for these reviews. Thanks. Didn't realize it would be my username when I created the account (just wasn't paying enough attention). It's a spam collector for me for the most part anyway so not that big a deal. I did try to change it but I think I would need to create a new account to do that.

Thanks BrianFallon, that's great stuff. I spoke with one of the advisors at Charter Oak and they had confirmed that the PMP cert will get me 9 credits. Now just need the other 111

They do take Comptia Security+ & Comptia Network+. Not sure how the expired works or if that matters.

You can send your transcripts to TESU and register. To stay active with TESU, you have to pay for 1cr TECEP each year which is $50.
One thing you have to watch out for is people literally spend years going back and forth with schools trying to get that one last class to transfer when these classes don't take that long to complete.
Considering you plan to spend 20hrs a week working on this degree, right now you could only be 3-6 months away from hitting 100 total credits and starting your capstone which by then you would be 3 months away from finishing the entire degree.
What I recommend is maxing out classes you can do with Sophia, by the time you complete 3 Sophia courses, you should know in your heart if you are willing to complete degree college online and also be able to get a rough calculation of how long it will take.

The downside of COSC is that although you will get 9 UL credits towards a degree is that they now require you to have 24 RA credits (in addition to their required courses) and you only have 15. Could you get the missing 9 credits (three courses) - sure, but it will cost you more time and money than earning alt credits to replace the 9 the PMP "lost" credits at TESU.

A spreadsheet for yourself is a great way of listing and tracking what you need vs what you have that aligns with the program requirements. https://www.tesu.edu/business/bsba/computer-information-systems
Also everything can be LL except what you need in the AOS - not the CORE (Professional Business Requirements) those can all be LL. Your UL will most likely be obtained using Study.com, although there are other options. I'm sure there are many here who can suggest options for you to meet the UL AOS courses for the BSBA-CIS needs.
