New LIB-495 format review, also compared to bus-421 - posabsolute - 10-04-2020

I am about done with the lib-495 online capstone and wanted to review and compare it to the bsba capstone.

So my cliff notes are:
  1. Felt intimidated at first, a lot of English major, being a CS major, I thought hmmm, this is going to be different.
  2. I had my topic in stone before starting the course, this saved me a lot of time.
  3. Online discussions are such a drag and useless; they don't know your topic; most don't answer if you ask a question, a necessary evil for easy points.
  4. I completed my entire thesis in 3 weeks, be careful accelerating; not all mentors are ok with that. It felt like much less work than the BUS-421 capstone with a (5 ?) case studies and a final project.
So I will end up with probably an A and, at worse, a B. You do 4 assignments, take professor notes, and assemble the final paper with your 4 assignments. You have to do a video presentation about your project of you with slides; the software they provide is actually pretty good; it was easy to use.

Besides that, there are the 2 ETS tests, which examine both your general and major knowledge. It's not clear how they grade those, because participating should give you all the points.

All in all, I much preferred the BUS-421 capstone because I connected with the material, and I found doing the case studies pretty fun, but it was much more work. Not that LIB-495 is a piece of cake, but in my opinion, choosing the right subject makes all the difference.

A big thanks again to this community; I would never have completed my BACS without this forum.

On point # 3, was wondering if no one answers your question, does your discussion contribution still count? Do you still get your points?

Yeah of course, even the mentor does not always respond to all discussions
