HEADS UP! Transfer Credit Policy Change
I became inactive months ago. If I reapply can I complete everything by March? Was hoping to do mostly Sophia.

It all depends on how many current credits you have and how many you need to complete. Doing a mix from Sophia and from Study.com as an example should work fine (up to 114 credits), you still need 6 credits at TESU to graduate. You should create a new thread with your current credits and also inform us when you were enrolled at TESU and how long has it been since you have been inactive...

I will have 90 credit hours of my General Education completed and submitted by March but the remainder of my degree is from Statistics.com which I believe is through ACE!!!!

I would also be interested in knowing if statistics.com coursework for the Data Science degree is counted towards the 90 allowable transfer credits.

Another question: although CLEP is generally counted towards the 90 credit limit (as far as I can see), what about Humanities CLEPs such as American Literature, Analyzing and Interpreting Literature, English Literature, Humanities? TESU has them listed with a footnote, stating:

CLEP subject examination update. Thomas Edison State University has conducted an academic program review on this exam. Credit awarded for this exam will be considered TESU assessment credit, not TESU-CLEP credit, and will show on the official transcript under TESU assessment credit.

Given that they come in as TESU credit, would that then mean that any of these CLEPS aren't counted towards the 90 credit limit? Because if so, that would be helpful.

I'm kind of curious about something else thay TESU does. You know how TESU ofders credit for completing an EDx microbachelors? What would those credits count as? I don't really recommend anyone do a microbachelor's ( the way tesu only evaluates it as 3 credits for all that work sucks), I'm just curious.

I was also wondering about the edX courses. I forgot about the similar circumstances for some of the CLEP exams. This whole policy is confusing when combined with some of their practices.

CLEP is specified in the new policy. CLEP is part of the noncollegiate 90 credits. (See the original post of the thread.)

Statistics.com is ACE. However, sometimes it has been treated differently. Most likely though, this is also included since it is not coming through a university, community college, etc. They seem to be distinguishing the college credits versus non-traditional.

This might also be a good situation in which to use cheap graduate teacher credits. Some of these can be very cheap.

I read the original post. My question was whether there are any exceptions to that policy.

Specifically, the CLEPs that TESU recognizes as TESU assessment credit seem like they might be exceptions.

Also the new policy specifies approved providers and Statistics.com is on the provisionally approved providers list (with Sophia, etc). Therefore, I think it's going to be part of the 90 credits. https://www.tesu.edu/academics/catalog/p...-directory

Oh, I see. That would be helpful!
