what is seen as natural science?
#1
What sciences come under natural science for gen ed?

Biology
Chemistry
Physics
Earth Science's
Environmental Sciences's
Psychology
Computer Science

I have biology but need two courses from one other nat science. Am I just looking at the 3 'main# sciences? I'd like to avoid physics and I'm not brilliant at chemistry.

I think that it depends on the school. But Earth and Environmental Science should work. I think that Psychology and Computer Science are applied sciences. Comp Sci certainly is, at least.

Depends on the school, but you can just look it up: Biological Sciences and Physical Sciences. Schools generally list what works under each area.

Which school? Bio, chem, physics, and geology/earth science are the typical natural sciences at most schools. Psychology is a social science. It's not a natural science. Computer science isn't a natural science either.

Pretty sure TESU counts CompSci as natural science, but my assumption is that this is an oddity of TESU. CompSci is not typically considered a natural science.

My TESU knowledge is out of date though, so this might not longer be the case.

Judging by OP's previous posts, they are following EC course recommendations.

At EC, psychology courses for sure are not seen as natural science. It falls under social sciences category. Computer science does not appear to fall under natural science too.

I've heard of a lot of people finding an intro astronomy or geology course to fulfill a natural science requirement.

can't you just take an exam

https://www.excelsior.edu/exams/choose-your-exam/

Basic Genetics
Earth Science
General Chemistry I
Microbiology
Pathophysiology
Physics
Weather and Climate

https://www.dantes.doded.mil/EducationPr...texam.html

Astronomy
Environmental Science (formerly Environment and Humanity: The Race to Save the Planet)
Health & Human Development (formerly Here’s to Your Health)
Principles of Physical Science I

surely one of those is easy enough to pass and will count
