Although the structure of the class may have changed since the move to Brightspace, it's kind of doubtful. We highly recommend that students NOT take this class. Complete science requirements on Sophia instead. So much faster and easier.

@moimph, Welcome to the board, that's a very short introduction post. Which degree are you looking at? Take your time reading the UMPI forum and the WIKI... In addition to that reply from Rachel83AZ, it's advised to transfer the max of 90 credits into the degree before you begin your remaining (final) credits at UMPI. You should fill us in with what you are looking at completing at UMPI by following the addendum and template here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

If you would like to do a search, and you're limited to 3 characters, try a good old 'google search' instead, like this: site:degreeforum.net umpi bio 105
You'll come up with links to many, such as this one here for you to review: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-BIO105-Problems

@bjcheung77 You seem to be the man around here, so I hope you can help. I've looked around, however can't verify if Sophia Human Biology meets the GEC 3E/BIO 105 requirement at UMPI. I know the Human Biology Lab meets the 3E requirement. I've completed Human Biology at Sophia, however it didn't show meeting the 3E requirement on my transfer credit eval. I appreciate any insight or guidance. Thanks!

Hmm, you need to email or speak with your advisor to update the evaluation.  The info on the WIKI here should be correct: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...quivalents - I don't recall a change to the 3E slot, that should be a science & lab requirement.  It can be either the Bio & Lab or Chem & Lab, as long as it's both a science & lab, you should be good.  Link: http://catalog.umpi.edu/content.php?catoid=6&navoid=223

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll follow up with Jessica. She's super busy, so hopefully she'll get back to me soon. Thanks again.

Do they still do it?  how long ago did you take it from Sophia?

The switch to Brightspace probably hasn't changed BIO105 much, if at all. If anything, it may be worse! Sophia is going to be way faster and easier.

BIO105 can take an entire session on its own. The Sophia courses can be completed in 1-2 weeks. Maybe a little less, maybe a little more.
