For anyone mapping out a TESU degree, Study.com continues to be a good option for earning transfer credits and it has some updates worth knowing about. Here’s what’s new and helpful:
$95/month plan: You can enroll in two courses at a time but can now take as many courses as you want per month under one flat rate. For anyone who works steadily, that can translate into finishing multiple TESU-eligible courses each billing cycle.
No proctored exams: All finals are now open book and open note, which simplifies scheduling and removes a common bottleneck for finishing courses.
Quick grading: Assignments are usually turned around within a couple of days, which makes it easier to keep pace and plan your transfers.
Mobile learning: There’s a new app that lets you complete courses, quizzes, and track progress directly from your phone — nice for fitting in lessons throughout the day.
Study.com courses continue to map cleanly into TESU degree plans, especially for general education, business and liberal studies programs. It’s also a good source for electives if you’re trying to minimize TESU tuition and complete more credits before residency requirements kick in.
If you’re planning your degree, it’s worth revisiting the Study.com equivalency list on TESU’s site. You can see details for Study.com courses that transfer to TESU here: https://study.com/college/school/thomas-edison-state-university.html?adkey=eda9847cda664406840db845f2a02f6b

Be careful with this if you're looking for Upper-Level credits. Some of these WILL NOT transfer in as UL, even when Study.com's website says it does. Always email advising before you do more work than you need to.

Although Study.com and Sophia are great alternatives for credit, I would highly recommend that people check out Coursera for maximizing credits. As you identified, UL credits may be tough via Study.com, but a lot of certs offered via Coursera will provide a lot of UL credits (assuming individuals are doing Business or CS/IT programs).

Study.com usually updates their webpages with the most up to date information on transfers, and it's true, you want to verify everything with TESU advising before you start taking upper level classes anywhere.

Can you tell me which courses might transfer as UL CS from Cousera to TESU?

Please do your best to search for answers and as I always say, review posts, threads, and the WIKI for details. Here's the Coursera WIKI and the classes people have reported that will go to a few institutions: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Coursera

What do you guys think about this site — https://www.transfercredit.org/?
A couple of my friends recommended it to me because it’s super affordable, and apparently their courses transfer pretty well. They were telling me that up to 3 years of credits (around 72 credits) are accepted at places like WESU, which honestly sounds like a solid way to finish a degree faster and cheaper.

It’s a promotional front-end for UPI Study. UPI Study is an emerging alt-credit provider with a mix of courses recommended for credit by either one or both of ACE and NCCRS. Some schools we discuss often here accept both recommendation services, some only ACE (including UMPI and WGU).

Yes, I've placed them in my list of recommended providers (just like CLEP/ModernStates, LawShelf, Saylor.org, etc), they're in a different pile than Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline, etc, due to one reason alone (proctor vs non-proctored exams).

there's a lot more courses listed on transfercredit than on the ace site
are those extra courses NCCRS credit recommended and not ACE recommended ?
