European International University
(07-01-2026, 10:54 AM)ReyMysterioso Wrote: I got curious and looked on LinkedIn for the EIU page and started combing through alumni to see who (if anyone) was listing EIU credentials and also had good positions with big-brand organizations. I was surprised there were actually quite a few. Several people who'd gone to good schools for undergrad and/or grad school also had an EIU doctorate on top.

EIU's affordable pricing is a big hook. It's far more attractive to international demographics than the grossly inflated, oppressive tuition prices of the American collegiate education system.

These degrees are useful only in situations where people are not looking closely. Otherwise, they fail. The one, narrow possibility is with the business programs, but I wouldn't put money on that.

EIU is not a recognized university in France. It is TOLERATED there. Huge difference.

Community colleges are also not Universities, but this doesnt mean they cant confer degrees.

This is purposely obtuse. My meaning is clear.

How about this: EIU is not a recognized degree-granting institution of higher education in France. It is TOLERATED there. Huge difference.

Better? Pedantry sated?

Nobody here asked anyone to like the school or to hold it in high regard, however this statement is factually incorrect:

"How about this: EIU is not a recognized degree-granting institution of higher education in France. It is TOLERATED there. Huge difference."

A Distance Learning Centre that is duly registered with a UAI via the French Education Ministry can operate as an institution of higher education and confer institutional diplomas.

"These degrees are useful only in situations where people are not looking closely. Otherwise, they fail"

Please provide evidence of such instances to substantiate the claim.

The facts have been posted and discussed already on this thread. If someone still prefers opinions over evidence, that's their right. Also, if someone prefers to post an opinion without any regard for the facts previously discussed, that's also their right. There comes a point where continuing to present evidence ceases to be productive. Research in cognitive psychology has long observed that people can become more entrenched in existing beliefs when presented with contrary evidence, a phenomenon related to cognitive dissonance and belief perseverance. That is a well-documented human tendency.

Meanwhile, I noticed some of these updates on LinkedIn:

United Arab Emirates: The UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research formally recognized EIU-Paris Bachelor of Education degrees, issuing official Academic Qualification Recognition Reports stamped as “Recognized.” The UAE is known for its strict evaluation standards for foreign qualifications.

Saudi Arabia: The Saudi Ministry of Education processed an EIU-Paris Doctor of Business Administration. The credential was authenticated as genuine and accepted, with a formal degree equivalency decision issued.

United States: Multiple EIU-Paris graduates have obtained formal credential evaluations from IEE (International Education Evaluations), a member of NACES, the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. These evaluations have equated EIU-Paris qualifications to US degree standards at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels, across disciplines including Accountancy, Management, Business Administration, Geomatics Engineering, and Information Technology.

EIU-Paris Institutional MBA Qualification Upgrade Pathway Announced: (from Institutional to ACBSP Programmatic Accreditation).

On partnerships with UK Government (OfQual) diploma-granting bodies:
The European International University, based in Paris, has confirmed two favourable online progression routes for holders of an ABE Level 5 Diploma (120 credits).

Let's keep opinions and facts separate please. Thanks

I didn't see that post, but I agree, that's definitely untrue. The French Education Ministry doesn't just "tolerate" things. They don't have to.

I think the problem stems from the belief that everyone is allowed to register with the French Education Ministry and just start teach'in, but that's not the case. There is a vetting process of the institution's officers and of the curriculum they are offering. The Ministry rejects a lot of applications. If a private school's registration is approved, they are then approved to grant institutional diplomas. Only public schools can grant national diplomas. These rights can be revoked by the Ministry at any time.

If the Ministry didn't approve of what EIU was doing, they would've been shut down, and if in the future the Ministry doesn't approve, they will be shut down. A successful registration by a private school is not a license for that school to do whatever they want. The Ministry keeps an eye on things and will strike if they see the need.

All I'm looking for is a favorable equivalency report and possible future uses of transfer credit here, and for that I'm willing to be a guinea pig for one of the "economy degrees." I did ENEB early on and was one of the biggest skeptics and critics of that whole system, believing it to be nothing but a bullcrap degree mill... but lo and behold, numerous forum users have been able to utilize ENEB credentials for transfer credit and/or admissions into other programs. So I was wrong.
I'm just interested in what's possible with the EIU economy programs and willing to give it a shot.

I am looking at their site. The marketing material seems to imply that the "microcredentials"/modules are AI-assessed via conversations with chatbots. I have never seen such a system in the wild yet.

Writing assignments at several institutions are graded/corrected by AI with a teacher override feature (most likely for grading revised submissions).

Hawkings Education AI is an example. They have several clients and name multiple schools which many on here may be familiar with:

ENEB has Hawkings chatbots as tutors on the learning platform as well.
