I used the FSI courses for Spanish back in the day, and for Brasilian Portuguese as well. If you can stand the complete lack of aesthetics, and repetition, repetition repetition, it is a great course. The focus on pronunciation and on substitution drills is a little bit basic, and at times boring, but it does help to master the accent to a level that if not native at least is easy to understand and avoids the "gringo" accent!
