I'm finishing up Financial Management through them (TESC's FIN-301 equivalent) and paid $285, which includes course, text book, study guide, tax, and shipping. Just $285 will hit your card. The only other cost to add is the ACE transcript expense once all the Penn Foster courses are complete. You can resell the books once you're done (most texts are out of date, but the Fin Management, for instance, is the exact same book and edition TESC Fin-301 currently uses) and recoup some of that cost.
I was very hesitant at first, but I'm now a huge fan of their format. I was dreading FIN301 - I'm not very financially-minded - but the study guide makes the material much easier to understand, and since it's self-paced, you can tear through a course in little time, freeing up valuable study time for other term-based courses. I did four of the five exams in one weekend. Once my term-based TESC finals are out of the way next week, I plan on using the weekend after next to finish the last exam and final, then order up another course. (I need 15-24 credits above the 36 provided in TESC's Comprehensive Tuition to graduate by the date I want, depending on whether I finally decide to add a second major I can't decide upon, so Penn Foster, CLEP, and DSST are making that very manageable.) If you prefer courses to testing, PF is a great option.
Thanks for sharing about the Business Policy equivalent! I may reevaluate my course plan and swap out a course for that (it's another one I'm dreading and would prefer to take at my own pace).
Thank You for answering the other members question. I took FIN-301 with Penn Foster too. I loved it. I like their format and I plan on taking my last three courses with them. I have two more to take with TESC after this semester and I will take the last 3 with PF. Then I will be done with the BSBA.... FINALLY
