I have no kids so take it with a grain of salt, but I think the best way for a kid to learn is by himself. If you can teach a kid to read, instill a thirst for knowledge, and give him the resources he needs to educate himself, he will do well. We are not spoon fed knowledge over the course of our lives. It seems we only spoon feed from k-12 and the rest of the learning is left up to the student. I think this is why so many people fail to grow intellectually over the course of their lives.
