My school, Maple Woods CC, does accept ACE credit. They are on the national list. I contacted them about the course and they said it would transfer in as equivalent to their College Algebra
Thanks for the clarification on it being transfer credit. It is more of a course, a very cheap course,($60 isn't bad for a class, if you do Aleks in a month and you pay the one-time registration fee to ACE). I hope someday ACE will certify other Aleks science courses, maybe they will make legitimate labs that demonstrate lab skills through online work. This would revolutionize learning in the sciences, I know a lot of books make science labs for the computer, I've done a few in botany class and I have to say for the most part they suck and I didn't learn much. Maybe someday somebody will create quality labs online and ACE will be able to certify these. It'd be nice to do preparatory chemistry online, my school doesn't allow us to jump right into General College Chemistry(Even if you have college algebra)
