I studied for and passed the macro/micro/sociology clep tests over the course of 9 days. I used the instant cert flash cards to study for all of them. Studied for a test for two days and tested on the third day and repeated.
It helps if you are in an area with a lot of military bases because each base will most likely have a testing center and usually they'll operate on different days.
I have no idea about the straighterline macro/micro though...
