what about all the other historical figures with backgrounds similar to Jesus?
Horus: (Egyptian)
Born of a Virgin. Birth was heralded by the star Sirius. Birth celebrated during the winter solstice.
Baptized at 30.
Walked on water, healed the sick and blind, cast out demons.
Crucified
Resurrected after 3 days
Attis (Phrygia)
Born of a Virgin on December 25
Body was eaten as bread by his worshipers
Crucified
Resurrected after 3 days
Dionysus (Ancient Crete)
Born of a Virgin on December 25. Placed in a manger
Turned water into wine
Was called King of Kings
Killed on March 25, and rose after 3 days.
Krishna (Hindu)
Virgin Birth, visited by Wise Men and/or shepherds at birth, and guided by a star
Healed leprosy, cast out demons, and raised the dead
Crucified
Resurrected
And all of these figures pre-date Jesus. So is it really that far fetched to think some of his story might be borrowed from other cultures?
