Credit by Examination vs Competency Based Learning

I think you could probably test out faster. With testing out, you set your schedule, you drive the car. With CB learning, you are dependent on how quickly your stuff gets turned around, etc.

Assuming you can study and test fulltime, you'd be able to do it quickly. Then you'd just have the capstone or whatever is required for the program.
