That said, I too have had a bunch of problems lately with StraighterLine (NOT proctorU) in Chrome thanks to all the JS bloat they've been adding recently. I've got around the issue by using FireFox w/ my normal script blocker (policeman) and only allowing googleapis.com, amazonaws.com, gstatic.com, and cloudfront.net from SL.
The bloat without this is so bad that in Chrome, I can't even click on any of my SL courses -- the browser just gets stuck trying to draw the % complete wheel while making hundreds of JS/AJAX calls to god knows where.

Thanks a lot for sharing your settings! I had a proctored exam today with StraighterLine and couldn't access ProctorU because the "MyLine" page kept freezing in both Firefox and Chrome--I've never had that happen with any website and this was so annoying. StraighterLine seriously needs to fix this. I installed ScriptSafe in Google Chrome and used your settings, which helped everything load smoothly.
