That's hilarious, because that's what I did.
I am fairly savvy with computers. I didn't relish the idea of spinning my new laptop up down and all around, so I put my lifecam HD-6000 on mine, tested it local, and then even ran it through their stuff.
twenty minutes later, one reboot later, they couldn't get it going, so I told them I'd unhook the camera. That seemed to resolve it enough to test.
Today, it was an extra twenty-five minutes because they couldn't get the mike to work. They dug through all my start menu lists, started edge (which I don't use), and IE (which, I never even started up, and it's not in start, I thought it was gone, actually).
They wound up working their stuff off IE, and I tested in firefox simultaneously.
Synn - I want to say that yes, you can set something up. I could have sworn I did last year when I first started. I was using XP, which passed everything, but they flunked me the second I tried to test. I came back with Vista, and swear I got them to actually two way with me. It is possible that on this point, I am mistaken, but I thought I did.
All - I don't have any problems with them trying to make whatever connections need to be made. My problem is, I am primed to test. When I gotta spend half an hour in a holding pattern, it makes it hard for me to remember what I was just cramming, and I honestly think it affects my grades. Overall, as long as you understand the limitations and risks, I'm ok with PU. First-world problems, I suppose. lol
