Is it true that one gets unlimited attempts on the first quiz, but only one attempt on subsequent quizzes?
Can someone send me the 3 writing assignments for SL Business Communications?
A very nice person sent me the SL speech assignments from 2016. Does anyone have links to sample speeches and outlines so we can see examples of what SL is looking for? Have the assignments changed in the last year?
Any other SL tips and/or tips on the classes listed above?
Thanks!
All multiple choice, and yes, you can repeat the first test, the rest you get one go at. Most of the material comes right from the texts. My son did intro to communication at SL and I can tell you that I don't think they really even watch the speeches. The last speech requires a sentence outline with citations - focus on that part and don't worry much about the video. Honestly, if you just sit and read the paper while looking up at the camera every few seconds you'll ace it. I think the assignments are still the same - the informational speech is about a holiday or cultural tradition, and the persuasive speech is to convince someone to donate or volunteer for your chosen charity.
For business communication my son used Saylor - it didn't require any papers but WGU still accepted it. He took the rest of the courses at SL and spent about 4 days on each one, not including the final. He did the two accounting courses you listed in one week. Economics have a lot more tests than most SL courses, but it's still a lot less hassle than Study.com.
Any other questions, just let me know!
