I noticed that this professor has a few EdX courses running. So if anyone is unsure about signing up for the Extension poetry courses, you might want to enroll free at EdX to get some idea. At least one of the EdX courses seems to be on a poet that would be covered in the summer Extension course. I think the EdX ones are probably similar the undergrad level, or easier, but it could be worth looking. If you search for Harvard Poetry, it brings up all of professor New's courses, most of which are archived. It's quick to enroll in one.
For Jennifer and anyone else who has taken an Extension course for graduate credit, is it hard to get an A? Like, do you have put in so much more work to get an A versus a B? I want to take this, but I'm also worried about my graduate GPA because I plan to apply to a doctoral program later on.
