New DSST Exams

I asked at Coastal Carolina U. yesterday why they don't take DSST and the lady that knows all about CLEP told me DSST are not accredited???

I am just curious how many Universities take CLEP that don't take DSST?

 Also if DSST is doing so much work on exams and updating why aren't they going after more colleges for acceptance?

CLEP is accepted by WAY more schools than DSST.  A LOT more.  Not sure why that is.

But the comment that they aren't accredited is just wrong - or at least, since DSST is not a school, they can't be accredited.  But then, neither can CLEP.  They are in the exact same boat - both are ACE-recommended.

I think the college board has just done a better job building partnerships with colleges, universities and high schools over the years with their SAT, PSAT, and AP courses which are pretty universally known, accepted and even integrated into curriculums. CLEP was able to be pushed alongside those other products/programs over the years moreso than DSST and Prometric.
