That was basically my point as well. If TESC had merged with Rutgers, they would likely have been forced to reduce the number of transfer credits they accept toward a degree and I suspect there would have been limits added to the type of alt. credits they accept. Such changes would have removed them from the big 3 at the least and made them a much less desirable destination for adult learners.
