I'm interested, and feel like I would be successful in the program but I'm concerned about "So, you're a lawyer?" or "Why didn't you just go to law school?" type of unfamiliarity.
I don't have experience attending one of these programs. It's my understanding that they're designed for people who need to understand law but don't need to be attorneys i.e. HR managers and arbitrators. 

Strangely enough, whenever people find out that I'm working on a PhD in criminal justice, they often ask if I plan on becoming a judge. Americans don't understand the basic requirements to become a legal professional.
