They were known for a history of awarding credits for unproctored examinations. It is sad that they will be blackmarked like this regardless if they have already improved their proctored exam. Which they immediately corrected last year, they currently use ProctorU.
Given that TESU have indefinitely suspended accepting Shmoop credits eversince last year. EC and COSC have followed the trend just recently.
Everyone should be aware of the risk involved.
The proctoring is optional, and there is no way of knowing from an ACE transcript if you took the proctored exam or not. So that didn't fix the problem.
When submitting Shmoop credits to ACE for approval, there is a drop-down where you indicate "proctored" or not.
Ah, that must be new, I hadn't seen it as an option previously.
